Programs

This program is for individuals over the age of 18, are Regional Center of the East Bay clients with a case manager, who wish to partake in programming that is both on site and in the community. Participants should be motivated for volunteer, social, recreational, life, and community building skills sets. Stamina/movement development and daily exercises are strongly encouraged. Occasional paid work may be provided.

Both the Union City and Hayward locations accept clients who are ambulatory and nonambulatory, while the San Leandro site serves only ambulatory clients. Walpert (Hayward) has a second AV program for individuals who are hard of hearing or are deaf.

Staff to client ratio is 1:6. Individuals have both an onsite program in all locations as well as off-site outings into their own communities and occasional trips to the community at large.

Activities Overview
The activities listed are person-centered and focused. In addition to preset educational, social-recreational, health and safety life-skills instructions, individuals are strongly encouraged to provide input to their monthly schedule of activities.
